Hi Folks,
Firstly, I want to say thank you to all my lovely customers in 2024, you made my year, and to my family and friends for their support and love. I also get lots of inspiration from my Instagram buddies, let’s have some new adventures soon.
I look forward to another exciting year of creating Cyanotypes (sunshine permitting) and developing my website.
I booked an Emsworth Loves Local https://emsworthloveslocal.uk/ market for March 15th and have a month-long exhibition wall at Gallery No.30 Petersfield in April, so I’m preparing for that.
I have joined PACS- Petersfield Arts and Craft Society, https://petersfieldartsandcrafts.org.uk/ and looking forward to seeing what that brings, hopefully, I will be entering artwork for Hampshire Open Studios with them. I would like to put some portfolio work into the Titchfield Art and Craft show too.
So, 2025 is starting to take shape, on another note, I have had my busiest-ever sales period on Folksy, https://folksy.com/shops/HazletonArt in late December through to January, most unexpected but welcome, and some lovely reviews.
During the Christmas period, I tried my hand at paper weaving and found I loved it, I did a little, many moons ago at school, but it’s so nice working with my own artwork- developing strategies -watch this space for an update.
I would like to try to improve the composition of the botanicals on the paper, rather than rely on a single type/stem. This is an area where I don’t feel very confident, as it involves scale and perspective, and trying to make it look realistic!! Wish me luck.
Let’s see where 2025 takes us on our Art Adventures.
Bye for now.
Regards
Irene
