Hello, you may have noticed I have updated some pages on the website and given it a little refresh to embrace 2026😊
New Year Ideas
Alongside work for 3 exhibitions and a summer artisan market, I hope to find time to try some new things with Cyanotype
Collage work
Whole-page compositions
Growing and using new botanicals
Working with photographic negatives
More photograms in the style of Ikebana flower arranging, which I love.
January Blues? -Yes please
I see that Dulux has chosen Blue shades for their Colour of the Year 2026.
They have selected three shades under the theme ‘The Rhythm of Blues.’
A vibrant Free Groove™; an airy light blue – Mellow Flow™; and the meditative dark blue – Slow Swing™. Nice!

Pinterest have identified five shades that will dominate in 2026 https://newsroom.pinterest.com/en-gb/news/from-cool-blue-to-persimmon-meet-the-2026-pinterest-palette/ ‘Cool Blue’ is one of them 😊
Lick paints- The 2026 Colour Edit: ‘Return to Play’ features not one but two blues in their palette

Blue 18 – is a cool mid blue, and Blue 03- is a modern, duck-egg blue
These tie in nicely with Pinterest’s choice of cool blue.
Anne Sloan has announced a curated palette of three jewel-toned paint colours, which includes ‘Napoleonic Blue’- ‘A deep warm cobalt blue designed to bring balance and calm and supports well-being’. I’m all for that

Luckily, my Cyanotype artwork embraces all these colours, so spread the word.
