I have just finished my HA (Hazleton Art) Environmental Policy, (and my lovely administrator has uploaded it to the website for me xx)
Creating Cyanotype art might just be ‘art’, but each little element can add up to bigger considerations. I’m not going to go into detail here, but I really enjoyed the research for the Policy and how it made me look at all the processes within my business, and their possible effects on the environment.
What surprised me was how many companies do not have any sort of Environment/ Sustainability/Green Policy available on their website. Researching the suppliers and services that I currently use for my business has made me think about who I want to use in the future, and if I make changes, how that would impact costs and quality.
There is obviously a cost to us and our planet if we do not reduce CO2 emissions, restrict deforestation, conserve water, etc. But let’s hope we can still afford some beautiful things in our lives, or what cost would that be to our mental health and wellbeing?
